WVU Going to Charlotte

After a cold win in Morgantown against the South Florida Bulls, the Mountaineers accepted a bid to play in the Meineke Bowl in Charlotte, NC. WVU (8-4) will likely face North Carolina (8-4) on December 27th.

West Virginia played in the inaugural Meineke Bowl in 2002 losing to Virginia 48-22.

    I have been a WVU fan for over 5 years and went to my first game at the ‘08 Meineke Bowl. It was a blast, if anyone reading this comment was at the game and saw the guy wearing the coyote hat, that was me. We had a great time watching the win which was something to remember even if the season was not as glamourous as expected. Only being a fan for a short while I have just realized how true and loyal the fans are and just how much fun can be had at a WVU game. To my friend Robert thanks for the fun and to WVU and to Pat White thanks for the memories. GO ‘NEERS!!!
