Mountaineers over Marshall

WVU welcomed Marshall to Morgantown for the third annual Friends of Coal Bowl. The Mountaineers entered the game at 1-2, coming off a devastating loss to Colorado. Marshall entered the game with a record of 2-2.
The Mountaineer defense was stingy, giving up only 158 total yards and 3 pts to a Marshall team that scored 34 points the previous week. The defense also forced 3 turnovers including a Mortty Ivy interception.
The Mountaineers also showcased a new wrinkle to their offense…Junior QB, Jarrett Brown. Brown ran for 95 yards, threw for 41 and even caught a ball…though it was for negative yardage. Pat White threw for 130 yards and 2 TD and added another 61 yards on the ground before leaving in the 4rd quarter with an injured thumb. He did not return.
Sophomore RB, Noel Devine scored his first TD of the season in the 1st quarter. He finished with 125 yards on 14 carries including a couple of Barry Sanders-esque runs.
Next game: 10/04 vs Rutgers
What do you, the fans, think of throwing Jarrett Brown into the mix? Do you think this game was coached more effectively than the previous 3? Predictions for the rest of the 2008 season?
